I was overly excited about seeing Demi Lovato in concert for the first time especially with my twin sister, Jess, who is the reason we got to go! She asked me a couple months back if I wanted to join her, I responded with something along the lines of, “Do you know who you are talking to? I love her music!”
Even better than finding out we were attending as part of our birthday week, we got CDs when the tickets came in the mail! So, of course, that means more Demi on repeat!
Fangirl Moment
Lovato puts on an incredible concert and knows how to keep her fans’ attention. Concerts can get tiring and boring as people wait for the main act to come on, but even the opening acts were amazing and fun to watch. Kehlani and DJ Khaled lit up the stage on March 28 while each thanking Demi for the invitation to join her. I cannot lie, I solely wanted to see Demi, but loved both the opening acts!
Demi Lights Up Nashville
I absolutely loved Lovato back in her Disney Days, but wow, I love her even more now! Her music will always change because she continues to grow as the years go by. Even though those albums are now throwback songs, she still brought them on tour! Check out my Facebook Album to watch Demi perform, “Heart Attack,” one of my favorite songs by her!
“Puttin’ my defences up, ’cause I don’t wanna fall in love, If I ever did that, I think I’d have a heart attack.”
My favorite part of the concert was how Lovato used her tour to share love and kindness when the world is so cruel right now. Safe places are becoming fewer and fewer, but she made the arena feel like a loving atmosphere! That holds true to what kind of person she is and the role model she is for everyone. I know as a fellow woman, in her 20s, I look up to Demi as she uses her platform to share her opinions and struggles to help others see the light at the end of the tunnel. As she shared her story about her alcoholism and drug abuse and mental health struggles, she gave hope to those currently overcoming those hard times in their lives.
Through her hit single, “Sorry Not Sorry,” she reminds people to let the hateful comments roll off their backs! Giving a powerful performance of love and acceptance for everyone, and telling listeners to be happy with exactly who they are.
“Now I’m out here looking like revenge, Feelin’ like a ten, the best I’ve ever been. And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt to see me like this, but it gets worse.”
The night was amazing and a great concert experience! I highly recommend spending money to see Lovato on tour! She definitely brings the love to any stage as she sings incredible songs!
“And all my friends, they know and it’s true, I don’t know who I am without you. I got it bad, baby. Got it bad. Oh, tell me you love me.”
